Dear Deplorables, it is time to learn how to run for elected office.
Did you know that next year citizens of Bowling Green and Warren County will elect new school board members, city commissioners, a new Fiscal Court, a judge-executive, and other important positions?
Have you thought about running for office, but are unsure where to start? The window for candidates to file initial paperwork begins in a few weeks, so it’s time to consider all of these questions.
We are painfully aware of how important it is to choose our local officials wisely. Many times local candidates HAVE NO OPPONENT, which means voters have no choice. This must change.
Perhaps you have considered elected office? Or know someone that is interested? Initial inquiries about running for office start with the Warren County Clerk’s office.
As we learn more, we will share information here. In the meantime, I ask you to thoughtfully consider running for office, or talking to someone you think would represent our conservative interests well. If we want to keep Bowling Green and Warren County conservative, we must act now.
