The undersigned citizens of this community, respectfully request the WKU Board of Regents, cease all future endeavors involving drag queen shows and any other such events being planned at facilities managed by WKU university. We also request that any such events in the future that are endorsed, supported, or sponsored by WKU or it’s associated organizations be held offsite, and have minimum age requirements appropriate to the content. We cannot afford a repeat of the events of Thursday, April 3, 2025, where children as young as four years old were present at a university event featuring a drag show on University property. These events do not shine a favorable light on the university, nor do they reflect WKU’s traditional morals and values. It is these very morals and values that have made WKU a treasure and a beacon of light and why families from near and far choose to make WKU their university of choice.
